Try moisturizing before applying makeup. No matter what skin type, the right moisturizer helps. Wash your face in the morning and at night, and be sure to remove all makeup before going to sleep. My tips might or might not help. You could have a skin condition which will cause you to get acne, so also try seeing a doctor.

You can mix salt and water tto make a pasty substance apply to your face and hold a towel on it for 10 min. Youll feel a slight burn but that means its working.

I'll be 25 at the end of this month and I had acne just like yours for a little over 2 years. I tried everything from proactiv, lasers all the acne treatments at drug stores nothing helped but cetaphil cleanser and tretinoin cream 0.1%, it is a prescription cream. I wash my face with the cetaphil cleanser and wait 30-40 minutes then apply the tretinoin cream in very small amounts and moisturize with a gentle face moisturizer.

I highly recommend the Clinique acne solutions 3 step kit and perhaps a bc pill to regulate your hormones? Alone with the Invincible scar treatment my acne and skin has been saved.

I agree with birth control, acne on the jaw line is usually hormonal.

I agree with seeing a doctor to maybe go on a contraceptive pill or to get a pill specifically for acne. It looks as though you might have acne which is different from just getting pimples and zits. Remember to always cleanse, tone, and then moisturize your skin.

Another agreement for seeing a doctor about a possible hormonal imbalance! I imagine you've already tried a ton of creams and home treatments if you've had it this long, and are self-conscious about it. It could very well be a hormonal thing, especially since it appears to be mostly along your jaw.

I think I'll definitely try the bc pill, I need it anyways... Hormonal imbalance? So, I'm tihnking that sounds spot on cuz I actually have a pretty serious thyroid disorder, hypothyroidism and hashimoto's thyroiditis. I didn't think that it might be affecting my face... it sure does affect my sleep patterns so why not acne? Thanks everyone, I don't think I would have made that connection otherwise!!

Girl I'm 25 and it hadn't changed since middle school. My doc prescribed retin-a. It works ok but I still go through periods of breaking out like a mofo :/

I'm excited to try as many tips as I can, let's hope something works!! I've decided, a combination of bc pill, I heard that helps multiple things, and maybe the clinique set if I can afford. but for sure a very good moisturizer since most of you suggested it. if THAT doesn't work then ill go to the doctor, cuz 'ain't nobody got time' for acne!!

Try the acne.org regiment? Heard good things about it too. It should help to clear the existing ones while the pills help control your hormonal issues :)

I'm 27 and finally getting rid of them! What worked for me is: no more eating of pork (or at least minimal), just scrubbing my face once a month (I used to do it every 2 days, what made it way worse according to a girl who cleared my skin (beautitician?), because the cells re-new every 3 to 4 weeks, and I didn't gave my skin the time to heal), and using clearasil nightcreme every night, and another creme in the morning. Maybe it will help you too?

Getting your thyroid disorder straightened out might really help. My mom has hashimoto's and still breaks out around her jaw like that at 52 years old.

I have thyroid disorder..hypothyroidism.I used to break out at jawline when it was detected.well now, its been 4months I am taking supplementary thyroid tablets..and yes all my zits have gone.my zits had the same nature as yours..big ones.check your thyroid levels regularly.
once you start a medication..thyroid levels become normal in 3-4weeks.
mine have disappeared completely after taking supplementary thyroid tablets!
and hypothyroidism is known to cause acne issues!
