Hi there, I'm 18 and would love to work in mac. I have no beauty qualifications and am still in school, but will be leaving soon. I currently work for benefit cosmetics and have done a few prom makeovers. Without any official makeup qualifications (but some good experience) should I even bother applying - or would it be better to go to college just so I have the qualification? This would cost about 4 thousand pounds..

That's just a day time look, if I worked for mac then I'd really up the anti on the eyeshadow/contouring! I live in England and as far as I'm aware they don't have a senhora? I know senhora don't send to England and am distraught! Would love to work for them as well

Do it! I had a friend who has no qualifications whatsoever, but she created a profile of different looks, and showed them and that's what made them consider her. I can say she worked at Mac for 3 years and it has opened opportunities for her in other places as well!

And they will do group interviews and will give you a "test". They will give you some sort of situation for a client and a time limit and you will have to create a look for them. As long as you can do that and show your creativeness, I'm sure you'll be passing with flying colors. Create a portfolio that's the best way to grab their attention.
