So tattoo idea 1: have his writing in the middle of my upper back between my shoulder blades. With one eagle on the side
2: have eagle a few Silhouettes going up my side. (Story he told.)
3: combine the two and have the eagles start from the front of my hip and go up my back and end at the lettering in between my shoulder blades.
I kinda wanted simple but I like his writing and I like the idea of eagles however, I don't want the letters on my side. And I did want a tattoo on my side in the first place.
This is a really hard decision. If you girls have any more ideas that would be great.

Hey I have a tattoo in memory of my dad too and it's the only one I have so far it's all black birds on my foot and I personally love them but some days I wish I could've gotten his handwriting tattooed on me but I don't have anything that he wrote. I personally would choose both of them together because it makes the silhouettes have a more noticeable meaning to others and I love the idea of having handwriting maybe not put together though. Definitely go and talk to an artist and they'll help you decide :)

Talk to the artist, mine help design mine from the most basic idea. Make sure you don't just go to the cheapest place, find someone with a great reputation. Someone told me once to sit with an idea for about a year and if the idea is still the same, you'll prbly be happy with it forever. With such a meaningful tattoo none of us can really tell you which is better because its what serves as a more meaningful representation of you and your fathers relationship.
