When you get out of the shower, pat dry your face very lightly so your skin is kind of damp/fresh. Take a squirt of lotion into your fingers and rub the small amount of lotion between your hands and pat/apply on your face very lightly, so when your face dries, it won't appear oily, but it will appear healthy and moisturized. Don't apply any lotion when your skin it dry, because your pores have closed and you'll be blocking your pores. So it's best to apply lotion lightly after a shower when your skin's pores are still opened.
