I've never tried the beauty blender. I use a normal wedge shaped sponge and I'm worried I'll spend however much on the beauty blender just to realise its basically the same as any other sponge just a slightly different shape. Would like to know if there's a massive difference in the way it actually applies the product. I'm not so keen on a brush, it can be streaky and I find myself dabbing with the brush flat so might as well be using a sponge. I'd go with the beauty blender out of the 2 x

I have both. I like the brush better, but the beauty blender gets the job done.

I don't have the beauty blender but I do have a brush. It's streaky and I find myself using my fingers a lot. I have heard from many people that the beauty blender is worth buying because you can get into smaller places better AND if you have pimples then it helps a ton I cover them up because it gets around the sides better and faster.

I think they both work differently, its better to buy a beauty blender like a cheaper one as it does the same job but try get it like the same shape and size as the origional ones, I don't think wedge ones work, the idea of the bb is to get it wet before you use it, this will stop it soaking in all your foundation, and just dab it on your face it gives you an even coverage but its not a full coverage well I suppose you could build it up, if you want a brush for your foundation use a stippling brush or normal one but move it in circular motions around your face and this gives you an even coverage too but more of a full coverage look, both work great it just depends on how you use them I use both. hope this helped :) x
