You culd always try curling it with a wand. I have thick sorta poofy wavy hair and I usually brush a small piece out and then curl it!

I have the same problem but my hair isn't that poofy. I get my hair really wet then I but it in a bun or ponytail. Then I put stiffening spray in it and hope for the best.

Omg you are the first person other than myself that I've seen on here with hair just like mine. you could twist your bangs and the bottom part of your hair to the side and with the rest of your hair do a side braid I always get a lot of compliments when I do my hair like that I hope I made some sense

Don't use heat on it unless you want it more poofier! Haha, try putting a bandana or headband around your head with your hair down like that! You could also put it up in a bun and pin a little bow to the side of the bun!
