I think you should go to the hair dresser you are planning on styling your hair on the big day, and have he/she play around with some different looks. You might find a style you love that will keep your hair away from your pretty face and dress. I really prefer "up-dos" on brides. Congradulations!!

Maybe wear it half up half down? And definitely have a trial-run appointment with your hairstylist. I had the exact same issue with initially wanting my hair down but it was just too thick for the style I liked. You may find that some styles you like at first will be hard to accomplish because of thickness, length, etc., and it's best to figure all that out before the big day. You may end up trying a style you never would have picked and end up liking it! And congrats! :-)
