What should I wear for an "interview"?

Tomorrow in class we will be performing mock interviews with our classmates and we have to go in interview attire! What should I wear? Also should I wear flats or some 3in black heels?

An interview outfit should be a modest dress skirt or slacks, button up blouse, a blazer, neutral make up and nice shoes (heels or flats). Oh and your hair out of your face!

I honestly think jeans are an interview no-no unless you're applying for a warehouse type of job. If you're trying to do a more corporate type of interview I would go with slacks or khakis...NO DENIM!! If you really want to amp it up...add a blazer :D

I think there's a "rule" about shoes...I want to say 1 inch or less is the way to go...especially if you don't wear 3 inch heels on the norm. Oh, and if your pants don't come to the ground (or within a 1/2 inch of touching the ground) when you're wearing them.

Top...I would go with a casual, but not t-shirt, blouse...don't know if that makes sense. Maybe collared dress shirt is the standard. I say nothing too bold or bold prints.

Wear something " business casual" and a bold necklace to pop but make your clothes solid colors.

Absolutely no jeans. I'm a graduate student and I work in a professional setting so I wear darker colored suits and skirts. I tend to wear the colors tan, white, black and dark blue. In my opinion if you are wear a skirt always wear pantyhose under. Heels should be as low as possible and dark or tan. makeup as natural as possible , no crazy eyeshadow and blush should be to a minimum. lips nude to light pink. here's a outfit I wore recently to an interview.
