So I had a terrible reaction to hormonal birth control and my face ended up breaking out really bad. The only thing that was able to heal my acne was Claravis, which is basically Acutane. I have scars that are dark and pitted into my skin. I've been using mederma for three months now with no results. Any tips? Also, any products need to be paraben free. ie: propylparaben, methylparaben.

Mederma should work, it takes at least 6 months to work so keep using it. Also pure coconut oil is good for fading acne scars.

You're right Maggie, the only thing with vitamin e oil is that it is used to fade new scars and not old ones. If you have old acne scars you most likely need something stronger than a natural remedy.

Yea some of my scars are years old, some are about 6 months.

I used to use proactive's skin brightening lotion and it worked wonders but now I just stick to vitamin c creams like the yes to carrots because its vegan n very natural it works nicely to fade any skin imperfections but it takes time for the darker scars to heal so whatever you are doing just keep at it and eventually they will go away.

Also I heard lemon juice works well because it is very high in vitamin c but never tried it before.

I found this on here looks promising. I've used ambi and had great results but I'm not sure if it paraben free

I would add baking soda for faster results
