Hi chloe I was always told no you shouldn't but after watching many fashion programmes I have now learnt from the pros that is totally the thing to do and you can defiantly rock this look. I say go for it, I do and get lots of positive comments about it x

It used to be my biggest pet peeve when I was young, but I love it now! I feel like its become a favorite fashion color combo over the past 4-5 years and it works in a lot of cases!
just use your best judgement... I usually find when they are different fabric weights or textures it looks *really good*. But when the navy blue and black fabrics are too similar (in texture and/or weight), then it looks a little off or like its a mistake
