Cornrows. it sounds crazy I know but I got my full head in cornrows trying to grow it out. it constantly pulls tension on your scalp so it stimulates follicles to grow.

Leave them in until they get loose then take them out and do it all over until you get to where ya want. it takes awhile and not the most flattering hair style but it works forreal.

Massage the scalp with your fingertips every night or when you Wash your hair. The hair gets oily faster but then use dry shampoo.

Take biotin, go heatless (don't use blowdryer, flat iron, curling iron), use garnier fructis argan oil to nourish and add shine, brush your hair with a wide tooth comb while your hair is wet (after you put conditioner), and you can also use a leave in conditioner one night a week.

Having too much tension on the hair can cause tension alopecia so have regular trim every 6-8weeks. use nourishing products in your hair such as macadamia oil, morracan oil products like that. and also sea kelp is great to its a natural supplement from health stores. here is a bit of info on alopecia Traction alopecia is a form of alopecia, or gradual hair loss, caused primarily by pulling force being applied to the hair. This commonly results from the sufferer frequently wearing his/her hair in a particularly tight ponytail, pigtails, or braids.

I have very long hair and I find that the whole cut your hair every 6 weeks story to be rubbish. I have dyed blonde hair and still have no split ends I cut my hair every 12 weeks and that's how it grows don't cut it as much only when you need to. Use morrocan oil on the ends to keep it nourished to avoid breakage.

It varies really on how much your hair grows. on average hairdressers recommend minimum of 6-8weeks...me being one of them and almost every other hairdresser will recommend the same.
