What is the difference between bb creams, liquid foundations, concealers, setting powders, and other powders such as bear minerals? How do you apply them?

Bb cream! It's amazing and it is a 4 in one. You can put a powder over it but you shouldn't need to once it sets. I use my finger to spread it out, you could probably use an applicator sponge but you don't need that much. A dot does a lot!

A bb cream is a "Beauty Balm" it is suppose to be a hg item it hydrates perfect and minimizes pores while still having coverage and color. A liquid foundation is essentially the base of your makeup it covers and conceals all of the redness, dark circles and blemishes. You can go with a light, medium, or a full coverage. And light will suit girls with barely any blemishes and just need to cover a few flaws. The higher the coverage the less flaws and blemishes will show. You should choose a coverage level depending on what you need. I use a medium build able coverage all over my face and then do a second layer over my cheeks where I have redness and acne scarring. If you have fairly good skin then I would choose a light to medium coverage so then if you do have a break out you can have the option to add a second layer to cover those flaws. A concealer is like a smaller, heavier form of foundation. It is generally used after foundation to cover up any blemishes poking through that you foundation didn't cover already. There are many different kinds of concealer they are liquid, cream, and powder. I typically use a concealer to cover my dark circles. I use a concealer 1 to 2 shades lighter than my skin tone to give a highlighted effect. A setting powder just holds everything together it makes sure you don't get oily or cakey throughout the day. I typically use a big fluffy powder brush and dust it all over my face so my concealer and foundation do not move or smudge off over the day. Bare minerals is basically a foundation that is supposedly alright for you to sleep in. (I wouldn't trust it! No one likes break outs.) I typically use it for days when I don't need much coverage but still want to wear something. I apply my bare minerals with a big fluffy brush in circular motions. Basically buffing it into the skin. With a liquid foundation you can you a sponge, brush or just a pair of clean fingers. It all depends on your preference. With the powders just use a big brush and for liquids you can use a stippling brush, beauty blender or just your fingers. If you have any questions at all just ask me. I am willing to help. ( I am a avid makeup addict and aspiring makeup artist.) even though I am only 16... Haha

Foundation (powder, liquid, and cream) is used to even out the skin. you can apply it with your fingers, sponges, or brushes. concealer (liquid, stick, cream) has more concentrated pigments and is used to cover and neutralize imperfections, blemishes and dark undereyes. you can apply it any way, like foundation. setting powder is used to set and mattify your face makeup so that it stays longer, and it can absorb any oiliness. bb cream is supposed to be a lightweight foundation with skin benefits. Bare Minerals is mineral makeup and you can apply it with a brush.additionally, primer is used under foundation to smooth out your skin so your makeup has a good surface to adhere to. it also helps your makeup stay on longer. hope this helps! if you have anymore questions just ask :) x
