I use the prescription retino 0.1% cream nightly for acne and for the other benefits of using it and yes it made my skin extremely sensitive especially for the first 4-6 months of being on it, my skin peeled and was very sensitive to everything I strongly suggest while your skin is adjusting to it for the first few months do not put any other harsh chemicals, cleansers etc.on your face. I stay out of the sun because it burns the sh*t out of my skin the burn and redness I get is awful wait to start it till after your vacation. It probably sounds awful but the benefits are amazing. My tips while using it wash your face 30-40 minutes before applying it only use it once daily and only use a small amount it goes a long way. Sorry for the book lol.

I've been using a retinoid system for almost a year...and it's changed my skin pretty drastically...not like over night but I can feel confidant without makeup on now
I'm super vigilant about sun protection I always use an SPF of at least 45 since they do cause sun sensitivity but we all should be doing that anyway

I believe it also warns you against waxing if you use retin A, or you need to be careful not to rip your skin off.
