Get a trim, stop heat treatments and use a clip instead of a band.

Seems like you over conditioned your hair. I would stop the heat. I haven't tried the coconut oil yet(going to, everyone on here raves about it) but I love my morracon oil or argan oil. Hope it helps ")

As bad as this sounds, I suggest you trim it just a small amount every few weeks this way it will stay healthy and grow healthy not break off or be split at the bottom.. There are many split hair menders out there that just temp fix the prob, kinda like a make up for the hair, so it's not really fixed, it will just feel better.. Also avoid heat on it as much as you can.. If you have to BD then use the cold setting on it or the sec one up and use a heat protectant in it:)

Do a conditioning treatment once a week with coconut oil, almond oil or argan oil to moisturize your hair and make it healthy. Leave in the oil in with a shower cap over your head for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to let your hair absorb it. Sometimes it’s good to leave it overnight for extra moisture. I use an argan oil hair mask from pro naturals for repairing and moisturizing and it leaves my hair so soft and healthy, I totally recommend it. Get trims every 2-3 months too, it’ll help get rid of damaged hair and split ends.

All of the conditioners and repair serums out there are just a temporary fix. Remember that the only part of your hair that is actually living is the root. So the end cannot completely fix itself as its already dead. I was in your boat a while ago, I used to straigten my hair every day and it got horrible. The only way to fix it is to cut it off. Then, use heat as little as possible, if you have to blow dry, do it on the middle setting, not the full setting, and always use a heat protection spray before using anything that heats your hair. And keep getting regular trims, jur a few millimetres off the ends every few weeks will keep the ends looking healthy. Unfortunately though, the only way to permenantly rid split ends that you already have is to cut them off.

I've tried the coconut oil, it really made a big difference. I also do realise that I need a regular trim:))

I know you don't want to hear it, but you do need to get it trimmed regularly or else it will be more damaged and you will have more split ends and breakage.

You need to get a trim and keep getting trims until they are gone. I also recommend you to try pro naturals moroccan argan oil which helps to stop the hair breakage and strengthens the hair.
