Platos closet is a secondhand store so yes...it is a thrift store. I've worked in thrift stores before so I know what goes in behind the scenes. WASH THE CLOTHES as soon as you get them home. They come in unwashed and they don't get washed at the store. They spray a perfume or fabric softener over them to make them smell clean. I think platos closet is a fine place to get nice clothes on a budget.

I just went there yesterday and I love the store!! They have lots of clothes from popular brands. some are cheap and some are not. Plus yesterday I saw some knitted UGG boots.
