Well, it's a uniform. You're supposed to be UNIFORMed. There's not much you can do. If you allowed to choose your own belt/sweaters, go with bright colors that compliment the parts you have to wear. It depends how strict your school is. Shoes too, make them pretty so your uniform isn't so plain.

I went to a high school where I had to wear uniform and I dressed mine up with accessories, I wore colorful cardigans, thigh high socks from American apparel, hair accessories and wedges or small heels. I'd get in trouble for it a lot, but I made a fashion statement and I stood out. Find out how strict your school is about the rules and try not to break them just bend them slightly ;)
