A MAC representative told me that Siss, and Cherish are good nudes with a darker liner like Cork, but all my makeup has been coming from MAC and i want to try a different brand that's maybe less expensive

Look for a light foundation! This trick is, you put on chap stick or anything invisible and then wipe it off. The sticky part will stay on. Use a different finger and or make up tool and dip it into the fondation. Then you put it onto your lips. Put it on until your lips are the nude shade you would like them to be. So basically im just say to go find a foundation the color you want your lips to be and then put it on. (but you still do need some gloss or something sticky so the foundation will stay. The reason why you then wipe it off is so that you dont have so much on your lips that the foundation wont stay on and instead your gloss (or whatever) will come off on your fingers with the foundation still on.) I'm a pale olive girl, so I fall in that hard to find lip color category too! I finally had to use a pink that isn't quite nude, but looks nude on me. We need some lip color or we look washed out. Just go get some wet and wild and just try stuff out. Start with cheaper brands, find a color you like then find a brand.

la girl creme lipsticks have some great nudes at cheap prices. The shade "Fling" is my favorite and its a dead on dupe for my hg nude mac's cherish lipstick.

wet n' wild has great nude colors. are you also lining your lips in a flesh tone liner? I personally stay in the "pinky nude" family, myself. Nude lips just look weird on me.

A nude lip merely means the color of your lips. Nude for everyone is different. There are beige/concealer-ish type shades but nude simply means it shouldn't look like you're wearing anything. There should be no obvious color.

Inglot "410" is great, as is NYX "Cocoa". I too have been searching for nude lip colors that complement darker skin. I've fallen head over heels for these lip sticks. Also, try layering a gloss over NYX's Lip Liner in Nude Pink. I hope these help you <3
