Are you on any pain killers? The throbbing is most likely coming from your blood trying to rush through your finger to get to the cut but the stinging might just be from things you have touched...unless its wrapped then I wouldn't know...maybe you can take some over the counter pain relievers if you haven't gotten anything prescribed to you.

It's probably because the pain killer is most likely directed to your teeth...it may not have the same effects on your finger as it had on your tooth...a doctor should have given you something or at least told you to purchase an over the counter medicine that would really help...for now I would just kinda elevate your arm so the blood doesn't rush to your finger...that might relieve the throbbing a little bit...the stinging is most likely because of the stitches...so I guess it won't go away until its healed...

I would ask your doctor.

Whatever doc stitched you up should have prescribed painkillers and possibly another prescription to avoid infection. You shouldn't have to guess about what meds to take. It's also not safe. Consult your physician.
