I can't see very well, but looks like you need more blending, it should be a gradual and flawless transition. Practice practice practice! Smokey eyes are hard!

Liquid eyeliner for your lid would be better and blending the crease with the lid shadow is good

You have a really good idea! But the main idea is to blend blend blend, if you aren't worried about creasing you could put a cream color base down by Mac and that helps blend really well!
