I really don't want to make my face worse, but somehow its still hard for me to stop picking and popping. Please help. I always feel really dissapointed after I do it.

It's really just self control. When you're doing it, remind yourself that it can cause scarring. Also, when squeezing at a blemish your most likely breaking the walls beneath the skin and spreading the bacteria. I know it's tough but you can do it. :)

Thanks Bobbie :) I am not very consecutive with the times & ways I use these products. But at night I use my clearisonic with my cetephil. I alternate between using the benz per. and cliniqes moustouizing gel. and sometimes a saint ives scrub.

You could try watching a video or reading an article about how picking at acne is harmful!! Also try telling yourself all the time its bad for your skin to pick...Keep your hands busy with something else when you feel the urge!!

I have horrible acne and the way I got it in check was to draw on stuff and sit on my hands if I was going to touch my face. Keep your skin care regimen the same EVERYDAY don't change it up at least for a month or if you don't get results!! I promise it will work, it worked for me :)

Candace, clarisonics are amazing to give yourself a nice deep cleanse! Just make sure you're using the correct brush head and not overusing it. Cleanse and moisturize AM and PM. Make sure you're exfoliating no more than two times a week. Over-exfoliating will cause excess oil production. Little things you don't think of- wash your pillow case more often, clean your cell phone screen, find out what's triggering your breakouts. Oh and the St. Ives scrub, is it the apricot one? If so pleaseeee stop using it! Lol.

St. Ives is horrible, the best way to prevent and help acne is exfoliation but not such harsh products. Dermalogica has a product called Daily Microfoliant and its perfect, except for being a little pricey. I'm an esthetician, by the way :)
