If you have oily skin its important that you moisturize. Your body produces its own oils so that your skin stays moisturized. If you keep up with a skin regimen that includes moisturizer your skin won't feel as oily because your applying moisture rather than creating it. Also if you can use oil blotting sheets which work wonders especially for on the go use :) I have cystic acne and extremely oily skin.

Try an oil free moisturizer, then a foundation primer. Instead of using liquid foundation try using a powder or cream one instead.
Tip: A lot of high end primers are silicone based, creating a barrier between the skin and foundation. So a much cheaper alernative would be monistat chafing gel. It has the same silicone base in it as the high end brands and it has been said to work just as well as a regular foundation primer. A lot of professionals use it in the industry because it's cheaper. But if you don't want that, you could try milk of magnesia; the original one, not the flavored ones. Just apply a little to the areas you get oily the most. This does try white, so try to blend it into your skin quickly and make sure your foundation covers it to where you can't see it, but still blends with your skin. You could even add a little water to thin it out. It's best applied with a cotton ball. Also blotting papers are great for touch-up's throughout the day. Instead of buying actual blotting papers, buy a pack of tissue paper and cut them into small squares. It's the same material as blotting paper. But by buying the tissue paper, you get enough to hold you for about 6 months to a year, for the same price or cheaper. More bang for your buck! Hope this helps.

If you have an oily skin then you should search for products made for that particular type of skin :) I suggest that you use a primer before applying your foundation then use a translucent powder to set it. If you are not sure which brands to buy then you should ask for assistance from the sales people who work at the drugstore or department store :)
