Curly Hair And Highlights?

Hi everyone, I was thinking of getting highlights in my hair to compliment and brighten my skin tone. However I'm worried about the maintenance and I've only seen full head highlights or half head that looks like ombre on curlies. Any suggestions of low maintenance highlight style/techniques. I'm going to uni this year so I need to be savy. This is my hair colour and length currently.

I have high and lowlights in my curly hair but it is quite a bit of upkeep. I would suggest going with a nice low light to really make your color pop. They are much less upkeep. hope this helps.

Low lights would be darker and I don't think I want to go darker but thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah I was thinking highlights at the bottom to but I've just found it hard finding pictures that I like. I like having something to go from so I can picture how it should be in my hair.
