Keep it neutral, bronze and browns and tans and beiges are the best, I also suggest you keep it matte, as shimmer may be overwhelming for school

I recommend both matte and shimmer shadows. Make sure if there shimmery there fairly light. (Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barley Branded) it is quite shimmery but, if you apply just the right amount it's gorgeous. Another color is the Covergirl single eyeshadow in Champagne. As for matte I like the naked basics Pallete. Just use the light, nude colors.
