I have Mac's russian red lipstick and i've yet to wear it out and about. How do i do so?? I'm afaid i won't be able to pull it off. I'm so used to nudes and light pinks. My skincolor, well foundation color is Mac's studio fix NC40

line and fill lips with MAC Cherry lip pencil
then with a lip brush apply MAC Russian Red
then add MAC Ruby Woo to center of lips...

Wear it with a neuttral eye with thicker winged liner for a in-up look. Red lips look so hot paired with a pin-upesque eye!

DEFINITELY confidence! It takes a lot to be able to pull off a dramatic red lip & feeling confident about it helps a lot.
I love the look of a heavy lined eye with a red lip. Kind of like what Manuela posted! Gorgeous ^_^

Use lip liner with all your lipsticks. Especially dark ones, so it doesn't run past your lip line. I do a neutral eye with beiges, pale golds, or pale silvers. Good luck and post pics

I usually completely fill in my lips with a color similar to the lip just incase the lipstick fades I still have remnants of the color. :)

Wear the color with confidence :) That way you can ensure that YOU are wearing the color, and the color isn't wearing you. I saw on a pinup modeling video that the models line their lips, apply the lip color with a brush, sweep translucent powder over it, line and fill again and that way, the color isn't going ANYWHERE! :)
