Use a powder foundation! I always recommend people powder foundations for a natural look! It gives coverage, so much easier to apply and just looks like skin. I recommend loreal true match super blendable powders, revlon nearly naked, maybelline fit me and nuskin compact powder which is the one I use. :)

Use a damp sponge or mist your face before you apply foundation. It will keep it from looking cakey!

Use a beauty blender (its water based so it will smoothen the foundation) or mix in thermal water/fix in plus/water with your foundation. You can also apply it with a duol fiber or the sigma F80 brush. You can also put it on the back of your hand and then, with a brush, put it on your face.
