Paul Mitchell has a heat protectant hairspray you spray on your hair before curling it. it kind of acts like a starch. it works good.

My hair is sooooo fine! If you leave it for like 2-3 days without washing it, that helps, also a heat protectant spray like Ashley said :) try to use a good quality hairspray, if it's really heavy, it makes your hair go crunchy and it looks weird. Good luck!

Sometimes if your hair is long it weighs down the curls therefore they loose their bounce. but agree with ashley and lucy...heat protectant and hairspray.

Like aya said, it could be weighted with long hair. If you really want curls, a layered cut could be the answer

Create the curl and then pin it into the a pin curl to cool. I do this to all my clients including fine hair. YouTube pin curls. After each pin curl spray with hair spray about 6 inches away from the curl.

@chloe.J thanks for that but if I don't wash my hair for 3 days it get super oliy and I don't want that.
I am investing in dry shampoo soon

Put some light holding heat protectant spray on the piece of hair you're going to curl and wrap it around the barrel for 5 seconds or more. Not more than 10 seconds because you'll damage your hair. Then, pin up the curl and go on to the next piece of hair. Once the pinned up curls are cool, let them down and use a teeny bit of holding spray. Don't use too much product or it will weigh down on the curls and flatten them. Make sure you have a good quality curling iron too, I use a karmin one.
