I work in fields all day taking data samples for an agricultural program, so my lips are constantly expose to the sunlight. I'm fair skinned (blonde hair, hazel eyes) I've tried Nivea, Burt's bees, and Carmex and it doesn't seem to help heal. So when I want to wear my favorite fire engine red lipstick it looks awful from my lips attempting to heal. Anyone have any good suggestions for a Chapstick that heals quickly?

Go to MAC and get a sample of their MAC LIP CONDITIONER...I hear it works pretty good. If the sample works then you have found a solution that will cost you about $15 and should last you a while ;) hope this helps

I've tried everything from a lip masque and rose salve, the thing that works best for me is petroleum jelly. I know it sounds kinda weird, but it's super moisturizing! I apply a pea size amount right before bed and in the morning they're super soft!

I would have to agree with Autum. Using petroleum jelly is great for healing chapped lips as it traps in the moisture your skin naturally produces. This will help with chapping and will allow your lips to stop flaking.
You can use petroleum jelly at night and during the day. It's perfectly acceptable to wear when going to work as it merely looks like a chapstick and it really does last all day long, much more so than supposed long lasting chapsticks that sell for a lot more.
I hope that helps :)

Thank you! I've used petroleum jelly before but the only thing I hated was I felt like my hair was constantly getting caught on my lips. But I'll try putting it on at night!

I like smith's strawberry lip balm. It's like Vaseline, but 10 times better. Also, Wear SPF on ur lips when ur in the fields. Also rubbing sugar into ur lips can help.

Use Aquaphor at night and Burt's Bees Conditioning lip balm during the day. Good luck :)

Have you tried the EOS lip balm? I absolutely love the product and its super hydrating. Pair it with something with SPF and you will be good to go. Also you might want to check your water intake, dried lips are also a direct result of not drinking enough water
I also love a great red lip. I find if you exfoliate your lips before and use a lip plumper it will really help.
