YES IT WORKS!WATER AND SUGAR ACTS AS A HAIRSPRAY.I USE IT TO STYLE MY HAIR:) ITS GREAT AND DOESNT HAVE ALL THOSE CHEMICALS AND WORKS LIKE A HAIRSPRAY.

It doesn't straighten it...it just makes it sticky. its pretty messy. it's a supposed to work as a dupe to hairspray but personally I'd just stick to hairspray because hairspray doesn't stay sticky for long, instead it hardens to hold hair in place vs the sugar stays sticky and messy in your hair instead...I tried it once and it was a mess haha.
