So on Pinterest there's lots of at home DIY"s for dry hair or how to make your hair longer. I tried the olive oil and honey one and didnt really see a difference I also used a leave in conditioner after wards so I wasn't sure if the olive oil even helped at all or it was the conditioner. Has anyone tried their own and had great results? And what are the ingredients / directions for the ones you use? I really want my hair to be longer and I need help getting it less dry and breaking off.

I pur warm olive oil in my hair about once a week and leave it on for about half an hour. I bleached my hair light blond about a month ago so it was pretty damaged. The first time I did ir I didn't see a big difference but now after having done it 4 times my hair feels much smoother. For faster hair growth its more about what you eat than what you do to your hair. I would invest in biotin or prenatal vitamins. Also only shampoo your hair every two days or so. I also use the organix moroccan oil deep conditioner and it is really good and only 6 dollars.

I use coconut oil. I put it on my dry hair before I take a shower (throw a towel in dryer to get it warm) don't apply to much or it will leave your hair oily. use finger tips to put through hair put in clip get the towel from dryer quickly wrap on head , leave it on for half hour to an hour.wash out with shampoo and conditioner as usual...:)

If you decide to go the supplement route, take biotin. Do not take prenatal vitamins unless you plan on getting pregnant.
