I am trying to determine a good price/ brand of moisturizer for my skin. I am 23 years old with combination/ oily skin. I have tried a plethora of brands and of course i love love the most expensive ones. My favorites so far: Lancome Reinergie and Perricone Face Finishing Moisturizer. I tried the L'Oreal alternative to the Lancome- not a fan!
As amazing as these products make my skin look and feel, i am wondering if the price is worth it? Am i too young to need high quality cremes?
What are some good alternatives?

I use Estee Lauder Day Wear... another pricy cream, and I agree I think you get what you pay for! You should take good care of your skin - it's with you for life!

Get a potent one! If you can find a drugstore version then awesome! But don't mess around with too many products because it can really damage your skin. The BEST moisturizer I could suggest is an organic one. Yes all the fancy ones with all the "good" chemicals SEEM to work. Honestly organic is the best for your skin. With that in mind I would try the •Yes To Carrots• OR •Yes To Tomatoes• moisturizers. Seriously if you are spending that much in let's say about three months if you actually use it, then it's NOT worth it. However, it also depends on your skin. Everyone reacts completely different. So test out ORGANIC ones. Haha sorry I just cannot stress that enough.

People kill me with the Organic stuff!! I have not seen any great results from people who use only "organic"

It takes a while for your skin to detox all those other chemicals and take in the right vitamins and such. You have to be consistent. Which not a lot of people are :/ but it will definitely be the best for your skin in the long run. Less wrinkles in the future.

i use Aveeno, got it from Target for $14 and after several weeks i noticed my skin tone evened out. Love that moisturizer. I also used Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing gel, ($25 for full size bottle and $12 for travel size) which made my skin a little oilier then usual by mid-day but still kept it moisturized, nothing special.

I currently use Renee Rouleau when it comes to moisturizers. I actually use her entire line geared to my skin-type. I rotate moisturizers within her line depending on how my skin is behaving (due to weather and menstr. cycle). I use her Hawaiian Nourishing Cream, and her Sheer Moisture. Her Hawaiian Cream has been compared to Creme de La Mer (an ultra pricey cream that for the scary price contains mineral oil that is bad for your skin...go figure). With my oil/combination skin this stuff actually speeds up the healing process when I have a few zits pop up so I only reach for this stuff when Aunt Flo makes her monthly appearance. Any other time I use the Sheer Moisture in conjunction with any two of her serums that I rotate with as well (Glycolic Serum 17% or her Skin Drink). With the Sheer Moisture it allows me to use any acne products under it as well. What I like about her line is that she doesn't add any unnecessary fragrance. I only get one chance to have great skin so for me money is no object and after 15 years of serious experiementation and thousands of dollars spent I can honestly say I'm truly happy with my skin and the products I use. I'm 38 now and my skin has never looked better. Renee Rouleau has a website that list her products and she has a pretty awesome blog as well clock full of great info. I'm sorry my response was so freakin' long.

that depends on how you feel. if you feel that some thing is expensive then maybe you should try some thing else. But Give MARK a shot, they arnt too pricey and I like their products. Plus if you dont like them you can return them

Never to young for quality skincare products =)
But expensive doesn't always mean better or vise versa. Most likely the expensive products will have more benefits and quality ingredients. I am a Esthetician and love Seba Med sensitive skin face moisturizer $ 10 @ CVS and Murad hydro dynamic moisturizer $65.
