Depends if you wanna focus more on skin or more on hair. I would do esthetics because it seems like way more people have cosmetology. It will kind of seperate you and give you an advantage in a career in makeup. Because knowing skin is really important!

I'm leaning more towards esthetics because it pays more but I'm equall interested in both so I'm torn

I would research what the job market is like in your area. Also, how soon do you want to get started. I am not sure what state you are in, but you'll be in general looking at say 5-6 months for Esthetics vs. 1 year +/- for Cosmetology, if you go full time. I am in Cosmetology school right now & I will tell you that it truly very, very grueling & a lot more work than you'd ever imagine. I know the Esthetics program is no piece of cake either. Look at your state board of cosmetology (sometimes called "cosmetic arts") and see what the requirements are. I'd make appointments at a few schools to check them out. Half the battle of either school is dealing with girl drama--do your best to stay out of it & stay focused!
