I'm going to the otakuthon tomorrrow but I don't know how to so my makeup or what to wear! I was supposed to have my costume to do cosplay but didnt got it yet -_- so help me pleaaaase, the only thing I have is kitty ears!

Hey Renee! From what it sounds like, it is a time to celebrate Japanese culture and animation =) Many people work hard on putting together costumes and amazing hair and makeup to look like their favorite characters =)! It is about festivities and fun and a great learning experience!

A super easy and cute kitty you can do is one wearing pajamas. For makeup, of course enlarged eyes are a must. Some ways to do that is to draw your black eyeliner thicker in the middle of the eye and putting white eyeshadow or eyeliner on the insides of the corner of the eye. Circle lenses are also a must! Brown is the best to use =)! Keep the makeup girly, like pink blush and peach lip gloss. You can also do a pinkish red lipstick too and wear clear gloss!

Awwwwnn thanks tsumiya do you have a picture to help me please? And jaime I was going for sailor mars haha old school I know but I've been doing too many character that I loved that year and this year but I've always love sailor moon so I wanted to do sailor mars with my extensions and makeup it would have been awesooome!! But I didnt receive my costume yet :( so ill keep it for next year I guess

Awww, yeah! Love Sailor Moon! I've always wanted to dress up like Princess Serenity or Sailor Mercury! You can always save it for next year (like you said) or wear it for Halloween ;)

You can still make it work by wearing glasses!! Plus, I don't think there's Otaku fashion police. lol I can also understand the pain of glasses in cosplay, which is why I've invested in colored contacts/circle lenses! I can't think of any characters that have glasses, and their outfits are simple...! I think on limited time, Tifa's outfit will be easier to find at stores than Misty's (and her hair color), unless you've got both of their outfits already handy! ;)

Jaime I have circle lenses too but they are not prescribed so I'd still need my glasses xD and I guess you are kind of right for the they're is no fashion police hahaa I just like when the character is perfecty recreate :( ocd problem I guess :p @renee I live in montreal, Canada :p @brittany I already this chung Lee but that would have been I good idea too!! Geocolouredlenses.com have some with prescription! I have 2 from them, and I've ordered 3 more xD You can always prepare for next year. ;P Show pics with the outfit you choose, and have fun! :D.

One of the best places to go for circle lenses is pinkyparadise.com. They're decently priced and they have prescription up to -10.00. They also provide free cases for your lenses =)!
As for a picture...I am not actually at my own laptop but at work =X! I will post one up as an example and then when I get home I will post one of when I did a kitty look =)!
