What is the best thing to use to contour the face? As an African American woman do I need to use something very dark?

You should check out MAC Shadester, judging from your picture, this bronzer is dark enough for you and i think you would love it. I think you can purchase it from the MAC Pro Store, if not... try Ebay because i'm not sure if its discontinued. Its definitely a beauty though and worth hunting for!

I would check out Covergirl's Queen Collection Bronzers. I would use something matte or with as little shimmer. You can also use a face powder thats 2 shades darker than your skintone.

Can I just say.... For me... The brush is the must useful whilst contouring. I personally find that kabuki brushes work well. A pricey example is the nars version at £54. On the contrary.... The sleek contour kits r great. I suggest tge medium palette for u.... Maybe dark, but u may find the dark too pigmented. It's £3 in super drug. Gl x
