I honestly think it's fine to wear them as pants, but I do think you should make sure not to have underwear lines. So if that means you wear a thong or nothing at all is up to you. If you don't mind having underwear lines & don't want to do the other two you can wear whatever kind you want. I guess it's just a personal preference though.
