What I hate about oiling my hair is the washing part. It takes two or three shampoo lathers to get it out and I feel like I lose hair doing so. Sure my hair is soft afterwards but I just hate the shampooing and hair breaking part. Does that happen to everyone?

Yes, Mahvish, it happens to me too but I try to use less oil, let it soak for a long time and then add more only if it still feels dry...just to make washing it out easier.

@Mahvish, that used to happen to me when I had refined coconut oil. Once I bought Organic, Extra-virgin, Un-refined Coconut Oil, it made washing it out a lot easier. It only takes me one shampoo now... I've even just washed it out with a cleansing conditioner before. What kind are you using?

@Jenna, I just scoop out a little piece and squish it between my palms so it melts, then I basically comb that through my hair with my fingers. I just keep doing that to little pieces until my whole head is saturated. I've heard of people warming it up in the microwave before, but I find this sooooo much easier =)

I think its best to use cold it breakdown real fast once you start rubbing it in. If its too warm and oily its harder to work with itll drip everywhere and run down your face more.

I apply it under the shower before I go to bed.. so my hair wil dry with the mask overnight and the next morning I wash it out.
