I'm sorry, but I agree with Jes T! I am way more on the modest side, but when I see girls my age ( fourteen) wearing itty bitty shorts and crop tops, it freaks me out. So many people want to grow up faster and I don't understand why... I think you should keep it classy! Never Judge a book by its cover is absolutely right! But some girls leave absolutely nothing to the imagination and I think you need to respect yourself, and your body!

Overconfidence is bothersome too! To much of a good thing can be a bad! And another thing is when girls dress to appeal to someone other than themselves! You need to rock your OWN style! Don't change so people will like you or see you. Stay true to you and your sense of style!

Elisa, I hear more girls using that word than guys. I cannot count how many times I hear coworkers (female) calling customers that word out of earshot.

As for the outfit comment; Girls will wear whatever they want but I personally lose respect for girls who wear super short dresses or clothes that everything hangs out of. It makes me think they aren't comfortable enough with their personalities and have to use their bodies to garner attention.

Honestly, I think there's a time and place for wearing certain things. I don't care how comfortable you think you are, but there is a point where it's disgusting.

And for *some* of you who say, "girls should wear what they want" blah blah blah you shouldn't have an opinion blah blah blah seem to be the same ones who typically shame black or hispanic men for overly sagging their pants (I'm not saying all of them do it, and I am aware that some white men do it too) because it's not pleasant looking either. And I'm aware that the major issue in slut shaming that many feminist dislike is the fact that it perpetuates rape culture, but I think it's important to realize that some people can find someones outfit gross without blaming someone for being raped due to their outfit. In the end, I think it's important to realize that most opinions aren't hurting anyone, it's when people voice their opinions in a rude manner TO the person or when they use those opinions to actively have them lose rights.

I think that some girls wear that stuff because they want attention and aren't confident enough with their body. personally I'm with you the skimpy clothing makes me laugh because girls are selling themselves short. how is a guy supposed to respect you when you can't even respect yourself? Saying that a "girl who (dresses slutty) doesn't mean that she wants sex" Yeah well maybe she doesn't want sex but that's drawing undue attention to herself. Like Quinn S. said it will be from pigs! I absolutely hate it, looking like they just finished work in a strip club, worst thing is around where I live younger girls like 12-13 are wearing things like this. seems like girls are losing respect for themselves, and you don't need to be half naked to show your confidence to be honest its just asking for the wrong kind of attention

Listen to me and listen carefully... These days... People are ranting about living life to the fullest and doing what you wanna do... 1. Do you honestly think you're doing what you wanna do.? No. Society tells you to do whatever you want to do. But guess what.? You're conforming to society when you are walking around half naked.? And I hear a lot of crap towards arabs for covering up.
