I have extremely oily hair, I wash it every day and sometimes twice a day if I'm going to uni and then out again at night. its hell. I want it to dry a bit, so I just had this idea. if bleaching drys the hair from its natural oils, will it work good for me? :D tell me if this is too crazy I've never used bleach..

Try dry shampoo, Suave has really good and inexpensive ones. The constant washing is only making the problem worse. You don't need to bleach your hair because it can damage your hair. Hope I helped :)

I am currently working on drying my hair out so I've done a lot of research: I think it could work but you should do more research on the bleaching. Whenever your just at home don't wash your hair because if you train your hair to think it's not going to be washed for 2 days next time you wash your hair it takes it longer to produce all the oils! (sorry if that wasn't very clear!) Using a citrus based shampoo like Vosene citrus refresh will also help get rid of the oils. Try not to straighten/curl your hair too much and avoid touching your hair. Using a dry shampoo like batiste or baby powder between washes helps. (sorry if this was really long) :)

The last thing you wanna do is dry your hair. The problem is your scalp. What you need is Moroccan oil "oil no more professional scalp treatment" you use it so many times a week and then once a month. It balances out the oil at your scalp. This stuff is amazing.

Hi I'm a cosmetologist. a lot of times this happens from not washing your hair properly. it sounds too easy to make a huge difference but its true. I wrote a blog with lots of detail about this. ill post it on here for you when I get into work (I'm on my cell a.t.m.)
