I don't know what your style is but I would go with something casual like with a dress or jeans or a skirt and for makeup I would go more natural for that.

Just thinking about this, but are white pants on a first date a good idea? I mean, we're going to be in movie theater and then getting ice cream and white would stain easily...

Well basically any colour pant will stain if you get ice cream on it, unless its black. Just be careful, or swap the white with regular denim jeans and a bright colour blouse if you're worried about the white. I wouldnt though!

Honestly just wear something you feel comfortable in, and feel like you look good in. A classic pair of skinnies with a cute top is fine, with flats and maybe a necklace, but like Jessica L said, you don't want to look like you tried too hard, so you don't need to go crazy with a full face of makeup or anything. Do something natural or if you want to go a tiny bit more dramatic, try a brown smokey eye with a natural lip. I'd suggest wearing your hair down. Whether you want to curl or straighten it is up to you.
