Has anyone gotten a chemical peel? If so, how were the results and is it worth it?

I've never personally had a chemical peel done on myself (I'm a chicken and don't want to go through the healing time), BUT a cool trick is to create a scrub out of fresh lemon juice and sugar. The lemon has alpha hydroxy acid AND beta hydroxy acid, and the sugar is abrasive and helps to slough off dead skin cells. Its a much more gentle way to get fresh, smooth, even toned skin! Plus its a lot cheaper ;)
I'm not saying it works as well as a chemical peel, but just give it a shot!

Depends on the depth if the peel. I have had all sorts of superficial peels like aha+bha, salicylic, glycolic, lactic, ferulic, malic etc. I have not had deeper peels like TCA or Phenol. But live the results of superficial peels. No downtime... just a little pink for maybe 30 minutes after.

I got a very light one done two times on my face, since I have a taned and uneven skin tone, it made me fairer and gave me slight more even skin tone but it made my skin sensitive as hell. I can't use makeup brushes anymore.
