Try to keep your face clean all the time wash it everyday and use zit cream and makesure to pop your pimples once they're ready so that you can get rid of them quicker and carry around a napkin/tissue/baby wipe to wipe the access oil on your skin.

I read that if you put a clean towel over your pillow every night your face would be clear, try it!

Part of it could be your age/hormones. still, I mentioned this in another post, but have you tried taking a look at your diet? I had really awful acne for years. I just figured I'd have to live with it my whole life cause my mom always struggled with it even into adulthood. but a few years ago, I cut dairy from my diet. within a week, my face cleared up. I still have flare ups if I sneak some dairy or eat a lot of sugar. a lot of times, skin problems are an indication of worse problems going on underneath the surface. if you take care of your body, it will take care of you. but if you fill it with refined sugar, antibiotics and hormones from animal foods, processed soy or wheat or corn, or other foods that are bad to your health, your body will eff you over! hahah. stick to nutrient-dense, earth-grown goodness: tons of veggies, colorful fruits, some legumes and grains, nuts and seeds, organic and grassfed beef, farm fresh eggs, etc, etc. and tons and TONS of water. good luck! :)
