It may be hormonal and in that case avoid dairy! A healthy diet does wonders for acne.
A good skincare routine with exfoliation and moisturizing is the best. Be gentle with your skin and have patience.

Acne can pop up for many reasons. It could be a change in your diet, a lack of excercise, hormones, lack of sleep, or something new you're using on your hair in the shower, or maybe a new cream or type of makeup on your face. I recommend using a mild cleanser to clean out the skin. Cetaphil or Spectro Jel for acne prone skin work. Spectro is good because it does not contain harsh chemicals, so it doesn't foam up. It is a jel that lightly cleans off any dirt oil and grime out of your pores while protecting the moisture in the skin. You can so use a toner/astringent on the affected areas. This contains salycilic acid and usually alcohol which will clean out any small skin infections and target the pimples, which will cause them to get smaller and take redness out. Then they will eventually disappear. I recommend clean and clear astringent for sensitive skin. It is not expensive and is available at any drug store. Finally, moisturizer with a light moisturizer that is oil free and preferably fragrance free. I recommend Simple Light Moisteizer. It matti goes the skin too
