How do you pick your best match when buying drug store foundation and powder?

For me I just match with my arms, I like to have an even skin tone through out my body.

I go to the Mac counter and get my foundation matched. And then I use http://www.temptalia.com/foundation-matrix to find that same color in a drugstore brand.

Match to your jawline and always check in different lights, even go as far as to keeping it on your face for a few hours and see if it remains the same colour because some foundations oxidise (is that the word?) and change. no7 does a foundation match thing where you go upto them and ask them to find your foundation match and they use a device which they put against your jawline and find your colour. hope this helps :)
