I'm looking for a new way to get rid of the hair down under. I've always shaved which works but I hate that it doesn't last. It'll MAYBE last a day then I have a couple days with hair that is noticeable but not long enough to shave without causing ingrown hairs or irritation.
I really want to try waxing but I'm not old enough to get it done professionally. I'm 16, about to be 17, and most places require you to be 18 which I completely understand why but I don't want to be stuck shaving for over a year until I can get it done professionally. I know there is pain involved but I have a high pain tolerance so I don't worry about that. (I get my brows waxed and it doesn't hurt me).
I would prefer not to wax myself but its starting to look like that's my only option. If it is, are there any wax kits you could recommend? I've looked into epilators but they're a little pricy and seem like they'd be just as painful as waxing but without a result as good. (if I'm wrong please correct me and recommend any brands).
Any suggestions of different methods? I really appreciate the help. Thank you(:

You can use face wax. It doesn't really hurt that much! Shaving down there is not the best idea, you are right, and using a waxing kit isn't painful! I don't know exact brands but I believe there is a Sally Hansen one that is not too painful :)

I've tried a couple of different hair removal creams but neither of them worked on my hair in that area.

I'm a beauty therapist and veet is ok if you don't go really close to the genitals, like extended bikini!! I would not recommended waxing yourself especially if it is your first time, the hair down there is very thick and the skin is so sensitive. without the correct technique of stretching and removing the wax strip you could cause severe bruising!!

I use veet, it works really well as long as you don't leave it on too long. Sometimes if I let it get a little too crazy down there I have to use it two days in a row. But then it makes it really smooth.
