Has anyone had their helix (top bit of ear) pierced? Any advice? And your experience with it?

I adore my helix piercing, i have it pierced on both ears. It looks super cute, however i got it done a year ago and it still gets sore sometimes. For me, sleeping at night could be painful if i slept on it too long, even now sometimes i'll wake up with it hurting. But at most now it just feels like i have an earrache and motrin seems to help.:) i'd say go for it if you're looking to get it done!

I had both done as well. They took forever to heal but improved a lot when i had gold put in. I used to wear them like elf points!

I've had mine done for little over a year. Just like Breanna said, it still gets sore from time to time. The first month or so it hurt to sleep on the side of my piercing. The only thing about the piercing that bothers me is that my hair sometimes gets wrapped around the back of the earring so I have to be careful when doing my hair. Besides that, I love it.

So overall it isn't to uncomfortable to sleep on?
