First of all how does a CC cream work and how much coverage does it have? And what is the best brand?

Thanks! I was thinking more of a drugstore product. Do you have any suggestions for that?

And a BB cream (in the US at least) is pretty much just a tinted moisturizer lol

Bb cream is a beauty balm or a blemish balm
Cc cream is colour corrector

It gives the same coverage as a medium-light coverage foundation. If you're into the good-for-your-skin idea then go for cc. If your main concern is coverage, just go with foundation. There aren't many drugstore cc creams at all, the only successful one I've heard is Clinique but thats more expensive.

Very true Vanessa (: bb and cc are both light to medium coverage, mainly because they are tinted moisturizers. Bb has anti-oxidants and spf, but you need to be careful! Because it is so light consumers don't use very much and it doesn't provide proper protection from the sun. Cc stands for color corrector, so that is mainly marketed for fixing splotches or redness. My professional opinion...if you are looking for light coverage and apply sun protection daily, go ahead and try the creams, as far as which one is best?? I've found some bb creams I liked more and had better coverage than cc creams...and vice versa. (: just play around and see what you like! A good inexpensive one to try, I like the Garnier BB cream and finish it with a tinted/finishing powder. It smells really good!

I got the Coola Rose Essence tinted moisturizer sample in my ipsy bag last month, and I basically fell in love with it that I had to buy the full size. The company labels it a CC cream, and I believe it does correct a lot of the redness in my face. The other thing I absolutely love about it is that it dries matte.
It is a bit on the pricy side, but I think it's totally worth it!

A good BB cream from the drugstore is Garneirs. Great for hot summer days, even has SPF 15!
