I will be starting accutane next month and want to know if you girls or guys have and your success stories. I am skeptical because of the side effects, etc. thanks :)

My ex best friend was on it and it completely changed her personality. She became very angry all the time. I don't want to scare you, everyone has different reactions to it. But overall, it does get rid of the acne.

It's very effective but the side effects are too dangerous imo. Things like depression, illness, anorexia, dry chapped/flaking skin are all known side effects. I think there are many more alternative solutions that are much safer.

Jenna I have watched that and her skin looks beautiful... I was jealous. Haha. And thanks for telling me gabi. I hope no bad side effects occur. I'm kind of worried.

Thanks Vanessa.. Yes I know there are dangerous risks but my dermatologist said it was the best thing for my skin.

If it's recommended by your derm then perhaps give it a try. It's dependent on the person on the level of seriousness the side effects will be on. You're very closely monitored while on accutane, and if anything should happen you will have the option to stop it immediately and get help. If your skin is severe and your derm gives the ok then I think that's a safe time to try it. :)

I decided to go with tactuo instead of trying accutane because I heard the side effects were horrible. Anyways if it doesn't work for you I do suggest tactuo my skin cleared right up

It's a creepy that you put on your blemishes. My doctor proscribed it for me. I also take a pill to help acne but again it was proscribed by my doctor.

Thanks for telling me kyndal... I am sorry that happened to your boyfriend... I am worried about going on this drug but then again different people have different side effects. I start next month so I basically have a month to decide whether or not I want to do this. But I want and need to get rid of my acne. It's really bringing me down.

DONT DONT DONT ever use it I used it for only my month n it ruined my life 4 gd.. more breakouts since then I had no scars before n now my face is full of scars.. 2 years since I stopped it n my whole body is still very dryyyyyy.. I became depressed n still I am , sensitive and so irritable.. losed so many frnds n became so insecure.. am only 22 n my skin looks lyk am 30 or more.. please don't try it there are too many options out there.. imagine if I used more than a month wt could've happened :'((((.. thats the worst thing that has ever happened 2 me n will never 4give that stupid dermatologist.

I'm currently on my last month of accutane and even though it has been a tough experience it was defo worth it for me. yeah your lips and face and nose gets extremely dry but vaseline and blistex sort that out. personally after starting accutane I felt that some of the side effects get exaggerated but we all react differently. derms usually recommend it as a last resort so I would carry on with it and if ir gets too bad just stop. I havent had a single spot for months now.hope that helped.

I did get an initial breakout at first but it wasnt any worse then what I was already used to and it cleared up quciker
