What's a great texturizing spray like a sea salt spray to create heartless waves or just volume?

My hair seems to have some kind of buildup on it no matter how often I wash it! I basically wash it every day when I take my daily shower but as soon as it dries it just looks waxy and dirty! It smells great but looks horrible! What should I do? It has never happened to me before.. I tried switching shampoos, washing my hair backwards (first conditioner then shampoo) and washing it less often but nothing helped. Getting desperate!
