Photos of bride from photographer?

So, I'm more of a beginner MUA, and though I've done some bridal makeup, I've never asked if I could take photos or get photos from their photographer.

I'm trying to build a portfolio and a website though, and I would love some advice on how to ask the bride/photographer if I can get a copy of a couple pics that I can put on my website.

Anyone have a good way of asking? Ideas? Is this a "no-no"??
