I have acne and a few days ago it got pretty red. I tried home remedies like ice and toothpaste because I ran out of acne medicine. The ice only helped the redness for a few minutes and the toothpaste only helped for one day, but now my face is even redder!! I don't know why this happened, I have not been touching my face, but it's all red. How can I get rid of this? It's so embarrassing for me!! :(

Use aloe vera gel after you wash your face at night, you can either get it straight from the leaf or Banana Boat sells it at most storeslike safeway or fred meyer.

Maybe leave your face alone and try washing it with oatmeal get regular steel cut oats and grab a handful and squeeze them while running water over your hand with the oats in them and make sure they're throughly soaked before gently patting and rubbing them on their face. Let them sit for a bit before rinsing off. (: I hope that helps

Thank you!! I was hesitant to try the oatmeal method because I only have the flavored ones like maple and brown sugar and peaches and cream.

In the newest episode of grace's faces they did a whole thing on how using a yellow based concealer and tinted moisturizer is a light weight way to cover up red ✌️

Using a cc cream will help there made to cover up unwanted colors red being one of them but they are also super good for your skin to actually help the problem go away instead of just covering them up.

At first I don't think toothpaste can help you with redness, actually for me it causes the redness. Your skin is propably irritated so I would try to calm it down with some calming and hydrating toners or very gentle cleansers. When I picked my pimples (I know terrible but I stopped recently) I used to have a red face and when I let hydrating face wash on my face for few minutes it calms down. Otherway try to cover it up with foundation/bb cream.

Never ever use toothpaste on pimples etc. It only dried up your skin furthur and increases redness.
