I recently chopped my hair and what I do sometime is curl my hair away from my face with a straightener and pin back a section of hair of the side of the part with less hair and it looks really cute and would be perfect for this. It's also quick and easy :)

If you can pin it up, almost bin like (and you can find a tutorial on how to do a short hair kind of bun) make it a little poofy up top, then makeup should be maybe a nice natural smokey, with a pretty winged liner and some subtle yet long lashes, keep the cheeks in the peach tones and the lips nude or just use a nice shimmer gloss

Makeup by Sona has a gorgeous "Bridal Makeup Tutorial" that she recently did on YouTube that would be so perfect with that dress. I think you should add some curls to your hair.
